Less Automation,

More Conversation

Because the fastest way to lose a prospect is to make them feel processed.

MY MISSION

People are afraid of you.

Not you, exactly. They’re afraid of what usually happens after they reply.

The pitch. The calendar link. The “quick follow-up.”

The assumption that showing interest means agreeing to buy.

Cold email has trained people to expect the worst.

AI automation is making it worse.

Agencies scrape a “sales signal,” drop someone into a sequence and call it personalization.

The company raised funding. It hired 20 people. It appointed a new VP.

And therefore? It must need your product.

Except it doesn’t.

A funding round isn’t a purchase order. A hiring spree isn’t buying intent.

Automation can explain how the email was sent. It can’t give someone a reason to care.

That’s why we never pitch automation.

The real work happens before anything is sent.

And let’s be honest. Some markets simply don’t have a problem painful enough for cold email.

If your offer doesn’t solve a painful, recognizable problem, your company isn’t a good fit for cold email.

More automation won’t change that. More volume won’t create urgency that doesn’t exist.

But when the problem is real, the questions change.

Can you surface it clearly enough to make someone stop and think? Can you create curiosity without sounding salesy?

Can you make the reader feel good? Can you write without hiding behind a template?

We don’t use templates. Templates repeat. People don’t.

Cold email isn’t about convincing, begging or pushing. It’s not about selling inside the email.

Your job is to help the right person notice something worth thinking about. Then give them enough space to reach their own conclusion.

Start a conversation.

Not a pitch.

Meet the “He” Behind He Knows Cold Email

I’m Gary, the founder of He Knows Cold Email. I’ve been working in lead generation and sales for 10 years.

My last job was Country Manager at Snov.io, a lead generation SaaS platform, where I 10x the growth in the Chinese market.

I've helped over 1000 clients with their cold outreach. I’ve run and seen thousands of cold email campaigns and I know what works and what doesn’t. And believe me, most cold email campaigns are just sales spam.

My best record: 27 valid responses out of 80 cold emails.

My mission at He Knows Cold Email is to help more companies to really start a conversation with their clients by cold email.

Three words I hate the most:

AI Automation

Overrated

Personalization

99% of the time they are not

GTM engineer

Fake job terms made by SaaS companies

Sales Intent Signal

Useless term fabricated by SaaS companies

Follow up

Come on…

Template

???

Sorry it’s 5 words… the list can go on anyway… Be careful when you hear these terms from SaaS companies and agencies…

How did he do it?

An Open Letter From Your Prospect

Dear Cold Emailer,

What if you stopped trying to get me into a meeting?

What if you understood my business before telling me how to improve it—and gave me room to disagree?

Would you still write the same email?

I know why you contacted me.

You have a target list, an automated sequence and a “sales signal” that says I’m ready to buy.

But hiring 20 people doesn’t mean I need your software.

Visiting your website doesn’t mean I want a demo.

And mentioning something from my LinkedIn profile doesn’t make your email personal.

When you assume I need what you sell, I can feel it.

You explain too much, ask questions designed to lead me toward your answer and turn every reply into a pitch.

When I don’t respond, you “follow up” with the same unwanted idea.

My silence isn’t a personal rejection. Your email simply didn’t give me a reason to care.

If you want me to reply, show me something worth thinking about.

Surface a problem I recognize but haven’t examined closely.

Ask a question you don’t already know the answer to.

Then stop.

Let me think, disagree and decide whether the problem is worth discussing.

If my problem isn’t painful enough, leave me alone.

No amount of automation can manufacture urgency that doesn’t exist.

Cold email doesn’t need to close me.

It only needs to open a conversation.

Make me curious.

Not cornered.

Sincerely,

Your Prospect
